Company: Any legally acknowledged public or private institution involved in an opera Production. A Company has a dashboard page on Opera Co-Pro

Company Administrator: User

Company User: A User designated by the Company Administrator to be responsible for a specific part of the Company profile on Opera Co-Pro, such as a single venue, a specific Co-Production, Company profile settings etc.

Co Production: A project to produce one or more operas among two or more partners. When Companies collaborate to create a new opera for their future seasons, this is called a Co-Production. When a Company buys or rents an existing Production from another company, this is also called Co-Production.

Database: A set of information about: Opera Companies, Venues, Productions, Co-Productions

Leading Company: In a Co-Production, it is the Company that takes part in the Co-Production. When a Company has been accepted to join in a Co-Production, it becomes a Partner Company. The Partner Company elects or changes the Leading Company. A Partner Company can abandon a Co-Production. A Partner Company can become a Leading Company. A Partner Company can nominate a Co-Production Responsible to deal with other Partner Companies.

Legal Responsible: The person that legally represents the Company, such as the General Manager, Executive Director, Intendant, Sovrintendente etc.

Matching: Opera Co-Pro suggests the best-fitting productions and opera companies with which to collaborate by means of a dedicated tool comparing Venues and Companies in terms of audience and stage size, artistic planning, geographical distance. The results are referred to as “Matching Productions” and “Matching Companies”.

Partner Company: In a Co-Production, it is the Company that takes part in the Co-Production. When a Company has been accepted to join in a Co-Production, it becomes a Partner Company. The Partner Company elects or changes the Leading Company. A Partner Company can abandon a Co-Production. A Partner Company can become a Leading Company. A Partner Company can nominate a Co-Production Responsible to deal with other Partner Companies.

Production: All actions undertaken to create an Opera, from concept to post-development and storage.

User Every visitor accessing the Opera Co-Pro Website can register on the Website by completing a “Register” form. A User has access to all public pages, the Blog and the Contact forms. A User can browse Companies and can add or register a new Company on the platform. A User can be identified by the Company’s Legal Responsible to become the Company Administrator. A User cannot browse the Production and Co-Production databases and has no access to any type of personal and/or private information.

Venue: the place where the opera Production takes place. A Venue can be either owned by the Company or it can be a space where the Company usually performs. A venue can be an Indoor Space, such as a theatre auditorium, an Outdoor Space, such as an arena, a Temporary Venue, such as a church or a public square, or an Alternative Venue, such as a studio room, a restaurant or a foyer.
